Location: Position can be based in Gillette, Wyoming, Denver, Colorado, or Raton, New Mexico
This is for an entry level position providing environmental, health and safety support to the Western U.S. Division. Present production and drilling activities warrant the additional EH&S support covering operations in Gillette, Wyoming and Altamont, Utah. Position can be based in Gillette, Wyoming, Denver, Colorado, or Raton, New Mexico.
Interpret EH&S regulations, and advises Operations on the mandated requirements, and supports coordination, development, and implementation of applicable programs for cost effective compliance with applicable company, local, state and federal EH&S regulations. Provide field support on due diligence and divestiture services and provide written report findings that would impact decisions on property sales and acquisitions. Responsible for developing and monitoring EH&S compliance programs for Division operations. Research issues to bring resolution to complex regulatory policies in a cost effective manner, and assist in the implementation of regulation. Coordinate and/or participate in periodic project EH&S audits and inspections, chartered incident reviews and support the preparation of relevant documentation. Facilitate the execution of the Company Contractor Safety Management Program in the Western U.S. Division. Preparation safety meeting and training materials on a monthly basis in support of the Division Operations personnel. Provide specialized EH&S advice, assistance and support to the Division operations personnel. Successfully problem solve difficult issues and work in a team environment. Self motivated with the ability to effectively handle multiple projects and work effectively under pressure and time deadlines. Ability to project a strong professional image and work in a team atmosphere.
Bachelor of Science Degree required from an accredited College or University in a science or engineering related discipline. 0 - 5 years of progressive applicable EH&S work related experience in the oil and gas exploration and production business. Candidate must be willing to travel approximately 50% of the time as dictated by Division needs. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Power Point programs are required. Good working knowledge of EH&S regulations. Strong interpersonal skills & capable of communicating difficult issues effectively. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Self motivated with the ability to effectively handle multiple projects. Ability to communicate (verbally/written) across all levels of the organization. GENERAL FUNCTION:
Responsible for specific laboratory safety and
environmental programs. Develop, implement, monitor, and manage safety
programs, policies, and procedures. Ensures the organization complies with all
current safety and environmental regulations. Evaluates the organization’s
procedures, facilities and equipment to identify unsafe conditions for
improvement. Identifies and evaluates detrimental working conditions, conducts
incident investigations and makes adjustments to safeguard employee
health. Develops, updates and conducts online and traditional safety training
programs. Researches, recommends and purchases safety equipment. Responsible
for hazardous materials management and spill response team . This position
reports to the Director of Corporate Safety.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Bachelor’s Degree, or college chemistry with five
years relevant laboratory safety experience, required.
Skills, Training, and Experience
Must have extensive safety training experience (5+
years, preferably in laboratory safety), experience/certification in hazardous
materials management and DOT/IATA Hazardous Materials Shipping regulations,
C.E.R.T. and first aid/CPR instructor certification (or will obtain), training
and experience in ergonomics preferred, and, hazardous materials spill
response training (preferably Incident Commander level). AS degree or higher,
with chemistry and biology foundation. Radiation Health Physics Technician or
higher certification preferred. May be on call and required to work unusual
hours for projects, training, and emergency response.

Must be self motivated, efficient, and accurate.
Must be outgoing and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to wear respirator and meet physical requirements of hazardous

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on, Construction Safety Manager to be based in Utah. This individual will lead our Safety Program Construction Projects located nationally and internationally. Responsibilities will include frequent interaction with employees and subcontractors; develop a project safety facilitator program; direct efforts to continuously improve our overall safety culture, develop procedures, safety standards, and best practices in a team environment; conduct interactive training; and investigate all incidents. Ability to travel extensively and work at heights is required. Fluency in Spanish and experience with a self-performing contractor are a plus.
| 4 year degree, preferably with a major in construction engineering, construction management, occupational safety, industrial engineering, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene or a closely related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for up to two years of the required education on a year-for-year basis. |

Develop, implement, and execute safety programs to assure consistency with company policies, procedures and guidelines as well as safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Must be able to recognize, monitor, evaluate, and control employee exposures to chemical, physical, and biological hazards. Conduct safety inspections and audits, exposure assessments, and ergonomic evaluations. Participate in investigations of work related accidents, illnesses, injuries and near misses. Review and approve health and safety corrective action plans. Devise and coordinate programs which increase and promote safety awareness and practices. Maintain health and safety records and prepare reports for various company, military, local, state and federal agencies. Assist with environmental compliance when requested.
